Subject:Scheduling and a calendar beside your inbox

Calendar in Scape

You can now open your Google Calendar beside your inbox, by clicking Calendar in the titlebar. Create an event by dragging over a time, or click an existing event to edit it. Tip: you can also open it with ⌘⇧K.

Find a time to meet

Ask Scape to suggest times for a meeting, and it checks your calendar for open slots. You can change the suggestions directly in the calendar, and the times in your email update along with them. Try “suggest three 30-minute times next week”.

Subject:Reply options and better suggestions

Reply options

You can now choose from suggested replies under an email. Hover over an option to preview it, then click to put it in your draft. Scape uses the conversation, your past replies and what it remembers about you to write the suggestions.

More improvements:

  • Quick Draft now opens new replies as reply-all.
  • More stable recipient suggestions, and Enter selects the highlighted person straight away.
  • Fixed archived emails returning to the inbox while Gmail was syncing.
  • Better contact names for shared addresses and company inboxes.
  • Fixed repeated signatures in suggested replies.
  • More reliable recording uploads and recovery after an interruption.

Subject:An updated assistant and instructions that stay with you

An updated assistant

You can now use the assistant in a small floating window, beside your inbox, or on its own full page. We’ve also made it easier to find previous chats and see what Scape is working on.

Your own instructions

Tell the assistant how you like things done, and it can save that for next time. You can ask it to change your instructions directly in the chat.

More improvements:

  • Quick Draft now keeps track of corrections like “bring back the previous wording”.
  • You can now send from your verified Gmail aliases, even with just one inbox connected.
  • Meeting recording now switches microphones automatically when your audio device changes.
  • Fixed snoozed emails and Send & Archive leaving conversations in the inbox.
  • Better recovery when an assistant response is interrupted.
  • Images in emails now keep their original proportions.

Subject:Quick Draft, label sorting and easier inbox switching

Quick Draft

You can now write and edit emails by pressing ⌘J in the editor. Tell Scape what you want to say, or ask it to change what you’ve already written. Tip: you can follow up with “shorter” or “make it warmer” before accepting the draft.

Label sorting

You can now sort your labels alphabetically, by recent activity, or in your own order. You can also choose a different order for each group of sublabels, from the parent label’s menu.

More improvements:

  • Switch between your connected inboxes from the sidebar, or see them all together.
  • Scape now opens with your saved emails when you’re offline.
  • Forwarded emails now start a separate conversation.
  • Fixed emails being marked unread when Scape prepared a follow-up.
  • More reliable replies and draft recovery in the assistant.

Unified inbox

You can now connect multiple Gmail accounts to Scape, and see all your emails in one unified view. You can find this in Settings > General.

Scheduled sends

Schedule an email to be sent later, by clicking the clock icon on the left of the send button. Tip: you can easily schedule for other timezones by just writing “tomorrow 9am new york”.

More improvements:

  • Dark mode (my eyes love this at 2am!)
  • You can now invite your team to Scape, directly under Workspace > Members in settings.
  • It’s now possible to mark emails as starred.
  • New shortcuts and improved Command K menu.
